Bush Cooker Elements

Cookers & Hobs

If your Bush cooker isn’t heating up or has stopped working altogether a cooker element may be required. This is the bit that generates the heat for cooking and baking.

Signs of a faulty Cooker Element:

  • Oven won’t heat up to the required temperature
  • Uneven cooking or cold spots
  • Visible damage such as blistering or burning on the element
  • Element doesn’t glow red (in fan ovens)
  • Trips the mains supply when the oven is turned on

Finding the right Bush Cooker Element:

Make sure you check your model number and confirm the wattage, shape and fixing points match your original element. Bush cookers use fan oven elements, grill elements or base elements so getting the correct one is key.

Installation Notes:

  • Always unplug the cooker from the mains before attempting any repairs
  • Some elements are screwed in, others clip in
  • If unsure, consult a qualified appliance engineer for safe fitting
